An article by Clive James and James Chappèll EMR, EMF, RF, E-field, M-field, digital, wireless, WiFi, WiMax, Dect, GSM, UMTS, RFID, microwave, Active Denial, Radar and e-smog are all names for Electro-Magnetic Energy in one form or another. We’ll call it all EME (eemee). It is all pulsed, digital, fast-rise and dangerous to health of every living thing. Digital EME takes the form of square waves which have a vertical attack face and produce a sharp hit on sensitive organic electronics. It breaks DNA strands. It confuses the immune system. 6GHz means 6 billion hits per second. It’s more electric shocks than a DNA molecule can bear. It affects the billions of bacteria and fungi in the gut biome and can cause mutations in viruses. The impact of Electro-Magnetic Energy (EME) is ubiquitous and overwhelming. It takes many forms and attacks us from all angles. It is also very subtle being invisible, largely unfelt, and having no aroma or flavour. It affects our health in multiple ways, too many to list here. EME is cumulative, so the more sources you are exposed to, the more likely something can malfunction in your system. Higher frequency means more energy and shallower, more concentrated intrusion zone. But it is not just the power of the EME. The signal even at low power, disturbs the sensitive electronic software of the living cell. Very low power over extended time can have the same effect as sudden poweful spikes (Petkau Principle, Health Physics March 1972). There is no help from the authorities that run the system, least of all from government that hands over law making to private companies. So we need to adopt practices that shield us from emission to the maximum possible. Here are some moves you can make to protect your own wellbeing: MONITOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW; Measure the emissions of a selection of cell phones, at various distances from a cell tower. The cellphone will radiate at higher values when further from the tower. There may be multiple towers your device can connect to so you have to take that into account. If radiation values 2.5cm away from any phone do exceed the 1,000uW/cm2 limit specified by NZS2772.1:1999, take appropriate action. The power limits proposed by ICNIRP and the Ministry of Health are 1000s of times higher than are advised by scientists who have made serious study of the problem. CHECK THE POWER AT YOUR METER AGAINST THE BIOINITIATIVE’S ADVISORY;
Ahead of regulatory reform, schools and universities could profitably lead the way by adopting safer practices. Make campuses cell phone and WiFi free zones, with internet access provided by cabled LANs. What’s the chance of NMIT co-operating on this? OBTAIN A GOOD EME ANALYSING METER; There are now many hand held, pocket sized devices that will do the trick. Look at the list featured later in this newsletter called Six Useful EME Meters. “SMART” METERS; Determine if homes or offices have SMART electricity meters. If so, get them replaced with analog devices. Warn people to avoid being near smart meters for long periods (e.g work, sleep etc.). Smart meters send intermittent strong spikes of data which are more unhealthy than constant low value emission. If you must be in the vicinity, try to be 6m away or build a screen to block the EME reaching you. [EME travels in straight lines for the most part] MOBILE PHONES; If you must use a cell phone, avoid lengthy conversations. Do not hold the device against your ear; use speaker mode or text. If you need a long chat, use a landline - preferably one accessed through a wired phone. Do not carry cell phones in clothing, near the skin. If you do, ensure it is either on airplane mode or switched off. Note; cell phones not in airplane mode or switched off continually emit RF, even when not in use. They talk to the cellnet telling it where you are. Do not take an active phone into the bedroom at night and definitely do not have it next to you when you sleep. Don’t use it as an alarm clock or a sleep inducing device. Restrict phone cell phone conversations to work and personal emergencies - gradually phase them out. Keep cellphones right away from pregnant women, babies and small children. The manufacturers instructions say to keep it more than “1 inch from the body”. Better advice is to keep any EME device at arms length. WIFI; Do not use a WiFi-enabled laptop/notebook/tablet on your lap, for the same health concerns as above. Obtain your home internet access through an Ethernet cable, instead of via WiFi. If you use WiFi, turn it off at night. Don’t forget to turn it off at your computer too. Get WiFi out of schools before it’s too late. Reduce children’s screen time. CORDLESS; Avoid the use of cordless phones - Cordless phones use DECT which is frequency hopping so producing a wild mixture of emissions. It is about the same power output as a cellphone. If you have to use it, out it on speaker mode. MEDICAL; Encourage health professionals to ask patients where/how they carry their cell phones and relate this to any diagnosis of cancer or other disease of immune failure. Make the analysis of anonymous collected data publicly available. Health establishments should require all mobile phones and tablets to be turned off and not provide WiFi in the building. THE NETWORKS; Force your MP to require Chorus to the retain copper line network or connect glassfibre to homes. Remember the government already paid for the fibre network but Chorus only installed it as far as the street lamps. Purchase and promote bio-compatible hash-transformation items – eg; ADR, Aires, Purple Plate, Pulsor technologies, LiFi, etc. REGULATIONS; Ban the use of cell phones on grounded airplanes. The issue is not whether radio emissions affect the vehicle's navigation instruments, but whether sitting in a metal box surrounded by radio transmitters adversely impacts passengers’ health - same in the terminal building. ‘Airplane mode’ may still be emitting signals. STANDARDS; Demand relevant regulations to protect us from harm caused by EME. Standard NZS2772.1:1999 is obsolete and not fit for purpose. Heating is NOT the only biological effect of RF. Follow Russia and many other nations in creating much more biologically sensitive and honest regulations. Stop Telcos making the laws. Once NZS2772.1:1999 has been removed, create a coherent statute, which takes the precautionary principle seriously and sets legally enforceable limits on RF emissions. AROUND THE HOUSE; Make sure the standard earth connection to ground has less than 50 ohms. Have all cables in the house with an earth core including the cords to lamps and devices. Don’t have multi-outlet boxes around your feet. Don’t use an electric blanket or a waterbed. Don’t plug yourself into the standard earth circuit. Keep the bed minimum 200mm off the wall. If there is metal foil insulation under or over your house, make sure it is earthed. GIMMICKS, GADGETS AND MAGIC CHARMS; Avoid all snake oil cures and any device claiming to remove EME from the atmosphere. [G-S filters only flatten out the spikes. Correct earthing balances the charge in air with that in the Earth removing the capacitance differential.] POLITICS; Contest/revoke legislation permitting cell towers on roadside berms and transmitters on lamp posts without a resource consent. Most important; work to persuade your local council to reject the pressure from central govt and the telcos. Stop further development and expansion of microwave networks. Support groups sueing government for their illegal practices. Form a neighbourhood support group to fight any telco trying to install 5G transmitters in your street. When all else fails;- SHIELDING; Re-position emission sources & increase distance between self and device. Disconnect all IoT devices. Implement shielding & reflecting systems. Shield walls of your house with carbon shielding paint or cover with aluminium foil. Ground/earth all metal components to the water in the Earth. Place EME shielding foil on your windows. (max 15% loss of light) Build metal reflectors against any individual transmitter “small cell” that is erected.
